Meet Annikah
Annikah enjoys getting to know each student and discovering the explanations and strategies that work best for them. Her favourite part of tutoring is witnessing what she calls the “ooohhhh” moment—when a challenging concept finally clicks and the student begins to see it differently.
With a strong background in math and chemistry, Annikah helps students approach difficult material with greater understanding and confidence.
What Sessions with Annikah Are Like
Annikah creates a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, work through mistakes and develop a stronger understanding of their coursework. She adapts her explanations to the individual student and works through concepts step by step rather than expecting students to simply memorize a procedure.
Education & Experience
Annikah is completing a Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Calgary with a concentration in mathematics. She plans to become a high school math teacher and will be completing a teaching practicum this fall.
Annikah has also coached swimming and skiing, giving her additional experience encouraging learners and adapting instruction to different abilities.
Beyond Tutoring
Outside of university and tutoring, Annikah enjoys skiing, swimming and watching movies. She also loves any and all dad jokes, so students may hear a few during their sessions!
